This is a classic "purchasing pitfall"—neither the buyer nor the seller clarified the requirements, and problems arose as a result.

Today, I'm summarizing the 3 most common pitfalls customers fall into, hoping to help you avoid them.

Pitfall 1: Only Asking About Price, Not Usage

This is the biggest trap.

Many customers only care about: "How much per square meter?" The supplier quotes a price, the customer thinks it's reasonable, and places an order. But then, when the labels are used, all sorts of issues crop up.

Real-life example:

A client purchased labels, only asking about the price and not mentioning the intended use. The supplier provided the cheapest coated paper labels.

Result: The labels were used on outdoor billboards and faded, curled, and peeled off in less than a month.

Losses: Repurchasing + labor for replacement + customer complaints.

The Right Approach

When purchasing, at the very least, you should specify:

. What product will it be applied to?

. What's the usage environment? (Temperature, humidity, indoor/outdoor)

. How long does it need to last?

. Are there any special requirements? (Waterproof, oil-resistant, heat-resistant, etc.)

Remember: Labels aren't about being the cheapest—they're about being the most suitable.

Pitfall 2: Placing Orders Without Checking Samples

This is the second major pitfall.

Many customers think labels are standard products and don't need samples. Then, when they receive the goods, they find: the color is wrong, the size is off, the adhesion isn't strong enough...

This pitfall often only becomes apparent when problems arise.

Many customers focus only on price and quality when purchasing, overlooking delivery times and after-sales support.

Then:

They can't get the goods when they urgently need them.

When problems occur, they can't find anyone to help.

Returns and exchanges turn into endless disputes.

Real-life example:

A client ordered labels, and the supplier promised delivery in 3 days. But by day 5, the goods still hadn't shipped, and the client's production line had to shut down while waiting.

When they called to follow up, the supplier said: "We're out of raw materials, please wait another two days."

Losses: Two days of production line downtime, costing tens of thousands of yuan.

The Right Approach

. When purchasing, confirm:

. What's the delivery cycle?

. Can you deliver on time?

. How are problems handled?

. Do you support returns and exchanges?

. Is technical support available?

Remember: A reliable supplier is more important than a cheap price.
