In summer, with high temperatures and humidity, pressure-sensitive labels often encounter issues during production and use, troubling relevant enterprises and users. Here are some precautions for using pressure-sensitive label materials in summer.
Once adhesive overflows, it can stick to lower material layers, hindering unwinding and printing. To prevent this, when storing unused pressure-sensitive label materials, place release paper between material rolls, silicon oil side against material edges, and avoid stacking too high. Additionally, spray oil-based or neutral release agent on material edges before printing or die-cutting to reduce adhesive residue on rollers. If severe adhesive overflow occurs, reprocess the edges before use.
To address this, minimize pressure-sensitive material inventory and storage time. Store materials at 18 - 28℃ and 40% - 60% humidity. Don't open material packaging until necessary, and reseal unused materials promptly.
To solve this, keep the production site at around 23℃. Eject waste immediately after die-cutting and minimize the number of rolls the material passes through to reduce adhesive backflow. Use die-cutting blades with special coatings when possible. For low-temperature and frozen pressure-sensitive materials, consider freezing them before processing if overflow occurs.
To prevent this, open the packaging of pressure-sensitive label finished products and let them acclimate with the objects to be labeled for 24 hours before labeling. This helps balance humidity and ensures labeling quality, especially when labeling corrugated boxes.
