What is a Laser Label?
In simple terms, a laser label is not like a regular sticker that adheres to an object's surface using adhesive. Instead, it functions more like an “intelligent coating.” Typically composed of multiple layers of special materials (such as polyester film and special coatings), it exists in the form of rolls or sheets in advance. When it is time to print information, a dedicated laser marking machine emits a laser beam with high energy density, which precisely acts on the surface of the label.

This process is not a simple “printing,” but rather a physical or chemical reaction:

Foaming/Color Change: The laser energy causes specific areas of the label's surface material to undergo slight expansion or color change, thereby forming a permanent dark mark.
Carbonization: On certain materials, the laser causes slight carbonization of the surface, producing a clear black pattern.
The end result is that text, barcodes, QR codes, logos, and even complex graphics are “engraved” or “etched” into the label material itself, becoming one with the substrate.
